About AMT Precision Castings
AMT Inc. manufactures quality ferrous and non-ferrous metal and metal alloy precision investment castings.
AMT began operations on Long Island, New York in 1966.
In 1988, Lanning and Beth Brandel bought the company, and in 1990, moved it from Long Island to Sharon Springs, NY.
As it is nice to know whom to ask for when you call, here's where we fit in:
Lanning Brandel - President of AMT. Lanny received his BS in Electrical Engineering from M.I.T.
Al Smrstik - Sales Manager. Al studied at I.I.T. in Chicago and has 40+ years of experience in the casting industry.
Scott S. Stevens - General Manager. Scott has 40 years of manufacturing experience in the areas of Manufacturing Management, Industrial Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
Ryan Pillsbury - Production Manager. Ryan received his BS in Manufacturing Management from SUNY Oswego. He oversees manufacturing at AMT and orders raw material.
Eric Bergquist - Tool Designer. Eric has 40+ years of experience in the Tool & Die trade. He plays an integral role in tool design and maintenance while interfacing between customer and toolmaker.
Lynn Hathaway - Office Manager. Lynn is in charge of Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, and also Co-Chairs AMT's Safety Program.
Jared Ball - Maintenance Supervisor. Jared is in charge of facility and operations maintenance and purchasing.
Dorinda Hamilton - Quality Manager. Dorinda studied at the College of St. Rose and Empire State College. She has 9+ years of administrative and operational Quality Assurance experience.
We are located in Sharon Springs, NY. We are 40 miles west of Albany, not far from Cooperstown.

I-87 ("Thruway" is a toll road) north around Albany. From Albany go west on I-90 towards Buffalo, I-88 South towards Binghamton, exit at Duanesburg, Rte 20 West to Sharon Springs. In Sharon Springs, go straight through traffic light at Rte 10, take a left after the school onto Chestnut Street. On Chestnut Street, 1 block, AMT is on top of the hill, on the right.
Mountain Route: (takes about the same time)
Before you get to Albany on I-87 ("Thruway"), exit at Catskill and follow Rt. 23 to Rt. 145. Travel through Cobleskill on Rt. 125 to Rt. 20 - take a left toward Sharon Springs. In Sharon Springs, go straight through traffic light at Rte 10. Take a left after the school onto Chestnut Street. On Chestnut Street, 1 block, AMT is on top of the hill, on the right.
From the East:
I-90 West through Albany I-90 ("Thruway"), west toward Buffalo (toll road, but no charge to Exit 25A). I-88 South towards Binghamton, exit at Duanesburg. Rte 20 West to Sharon Springs. In Sharon Springs, go straight through traffic light at Rte 10. Take a left after the school onto Chestnut Street. On Chestnut Street, 1 block, AMT is on top of the hill, on the right.
