About AMT Precision Castings
AMT, Inc. was started on Long Island in 1966 and bought by Beth and Lanning Brandel in 1988. We moved to Sharon Springs, NY in 1990. We are located 40 miles west of Albany, not far from Cooperstown.
Since it's nice to know who to ask for when you call, here's where we fit in:
Lanning Brandel, President of AMT, is a 1973 M I T engineering graduate.
Al Smrstik, Sales Manager, studied at IIT in Chicago and has worked in the casting industry for more than 40 years.
Eric Bergquist, AMT's chief machinist, interfaces between customer and toolmaker. He has been in the Tool & Die trade for the last 40 years.
Angelika Verderber, production manager, received her BS in Germany in 1986. She is in charge of scheduling, pushing the work out and making everybody happy.
Janis Balins, our Office Manager in charge of payments, studied economics at Brooklyn / Queens College.
Susanne Morlang, AMT's administrative assistant, overseas quality and ties up all the loose ends.

From NYC
I-87 ("Thruway" is a toll road) north around Albany. From Albany go west on I-90 towards Buffalo, I-88 South towards Binghamton, exit at Duanesburg, Rte 20 West to Sharon Springs. In Sharon Springs, go straight through traffic light at Rte 10, take a left after the school onto Chestnut Street. On Chestnut Street, 1 block, AMT is on top of the hill, on the right.
Mountain Route: (takes about the same time)
Before you get to Albany on I-87 ("Thruway"), exit at Catskill and follow Rt. 23 to Rt. 145. Travel through Cobleskill on Rt. 125 to Rt. 20 - take a left toward Sharon Springs. In Sharon Springs, go straight through traffic light at Rte 10. Take a left after the school onto Chestnut Street. On Chestnut Street, 1 block, AMT is on top of the hill, on the right.
From the East:
I-90 West through Albany I-90 ("Thruway"), west toward Buffalo (toll road, but no charge to Exit 25A). I-88 South towards Binghamton, exit at Duanesburg. Rte 20 West to Sharon Springs. In Sharon Springs, go straight through traffic light at Rte 10. Take a left after the school onto Chestnut Street. On Chestnut Street, 1 block, AMT is on top of the hill, on the right.
